Hike to Donut Falls

»  mark    5 Sep 2005 @ 21:23

On Labor Day, rather than hunt for a spot to pitch a tent, we joined George and Barbie Miranda on a hike to Donut Falls in Big Cottonwood Canyon, east of Salt Lake. There were many people on the trail, but it was enjoyable all the same. The hike is quite short and easy, and though we didn’t climb the cliff to see the actual donut-shaped rock from which the falls get their name, we sat down at the foot of the falls and had a nice picnic lunch.
